Pony Ride Event @ Little Creek Farm
This past Saturday MWHR participated in the Pony Ride Event at Little Creek Farm in Decatur, GA. Two of our very talented volunteers, Michele Philips and Alba Rosado, spent their day painting faces to raise $ for MWHR. These ladies worked tirelessly for over 4 hours non-stop painting close to 60 kids faces. Their face paintings were beautiful. Needless to say, it was a huge success and we had lots of happy children. Thank you ladies for donating your time and talents to help MWHR!!
Volunteer Training Session
On November 27th our MWHR Volunteers participated in a training session to learn more about proper handling of the horses, hoof care, groundwork basics and loading/unloading on the trailer. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the training session and we look forward to doing another more in-depth one in the near future. Huge thank you to Kelly and Lee Bates of Cooper Sandy Farm for letting us use their facility and some of their horses and to Nick Thompson the farrier for making a special appearance. We’d like to give an extra special thank you to Lee Bates for spending the entire afternoon working with our volunteers.

Pope Volunteers
Last Saturday we hosted a special group of volunteers from the Pope High School Homeless Pets Club. The young ladies got to learn about mustangs and why they need our help, as well as assist in cleaning up around the farm and grooming several of our resident mustangs. We truly appreciate their help and look forward to having them back out to the farm very soon!
