Our 3rd Annual Tack Thing Event and Silent Auction is coming up on July 6th and 7th so mark your calendars! Come out and shop or you can purchase a booth to sell used tack or promote your business (horse related products and/or services). If you don’t have time to sell your items but would still like to support MWHR, you can donate horse related items (tack, riding clothes, blankets, etc) and since we are a 501c3 non-profit organization you will receive a tax receipt for your donation. Ticket to Ride Benefit Horse Show in July

We are so excited to be chosen as one of the charities by the Ticket to Ride Benefit Horse Show again this year! The $20 Ride A Buck class benefiting MWHR is back again and we’ll also be doing our Tack Sale and Silent Auction. Ticket to Ride – Dressage Demo

MWHR would like to give a very special thank you to the Bennett family, especially Caitlyn, for supporting MWHR this past weekend at the Ticket To Ride Benefit Horse Show. Caitlyn and Hocus Pocus showed off their dressage skills in a demonstration on Friday evening to help create awareness about how wonderful and talented these mustangs truly are in any job.

MWHR Yard Sale – 4/29

Come shop our Yard Sale benefitting the Mustang & Wild Horse Rescue of GA Inc. (MWHR) on Saturday, April 29th from 8AM – 3PM. We’ve got lots of household goods, toys, clothes, furniture, etc for sale. We’ll be doing a “Fill Your Bag” sale on all small items that can fit in a grocery bag for only $5.00. All proceeds go to MWHR to care for the mustangs located at our Canton, GA facility.

MWHR Horse Blanket & Tack Sale – 4/29

Need a new blanket for your horse? We’ve got over 90 used blankets, sheets, coolers, and fly sheets plus hoods that we will be selling on Saturday, April 29th from 8AM – 3PM. All blankets have been professionally cleaned and repaired. Sizes range from 64″ to 84″. Brands include Dover, Triple Crown, Rhino, Kensington, Integrity, Big D, Weatherbeeta, Baker, Rambo, Wilsun and more.

Prices are as follows (unless otherwise noted on merchandise):

Blankets – $25-$30 each
Sheets and Fly Sheets – $15-$20 each
Hoods – $12 each
Coolers – $15-$20 each
In addition to horse blankets, we’ll have some used English and Western tack for sale.

Deck the Stalls

Last Saturday was another busy day for MWHR. We had a table setup at the Deck the Stalls event at Save the Horses (STH). We appreciate everyone coming out and supporting the efforts of both of our rescues! As our good friends at STH say “We Are Rescue” and it takes a village to save these horses.

Hay Day hosted by Save the Horses

MWHR will have a booth at the Hay Day Event on Saturday, October 22nd from 11AM-4PM at Save the Horses Horse Rescue. We’ll have MWHR merchandise available for purchase as well as some used tack and of course we’ll be accepting donations. Please come out and join the fun and support horse rescue. Horse Show!

We would like to thank our friends, Kelly & Lee Bates of Cooper Sandy Farm for helping create awareness for MWHR by displaying our banner at the horse show September 17th. They also brought out their crew of mustangs to the show. It was Shelby’s first horse show outing and it looks like she handled it great.

Horse Fest at Little Creek Farm

We had a very successful outing at Horse Fest at Little Creek Farm in Decatur, GA on the 17th of September. We raised $500 for MWHR thanks to everyone who stopped by and supported us. A very special “thank you” goes to Chris Lobkowicz with Mustang Rescue Network for inviting us and bringing her mustang mare, Angel, to meet and greet with the public. Angel was a wonderful ambassador.
